Our Classics Library has a large collection of 19th century German dissertations in that field.  The Head of that library is Jacquie Riley and her number is 513-556-1316.

Subject: [Int-Law] German theses?

Liebe Int-Lawyers!  I have a colleague who is looking for a source (preferably a LibGuide/research guide like the French ones below) listing German theses (including older ones) for university Germanists in German or English.  Any suggestions?  Y’all are also welcome to forward this to the BIB-JUR (German law librarians/legal information specialists) list.  Thanks, Lyo.  Here’s her request below.  I suggested the Center for Research Libraries might have a list (since they collect German dissertations), and also the DART-Europe e-Theses Portal.  I haven’t explored if ProQuest Dissertations has non-U.S. coverage.

“[T]he best guides I’ve found to finding theses in German and working in German archives are both in French, http://germano-fil.hypotheses.org/1697 & http://germano-fil.hypotheses.org/1388, respectively…Can anyone recommend anything similar – or better – to which I might direct researchers, in English or German?”
