I believe that your
advocate might be referring
to the "Companies
(Winding-up) Rules, 1909", a piece of delegated
legislation from the UK. For
an explanation of how it is applies to Grenadian law today, please see the
appendix from a legal opinion that I found on this website: http://www.bankcroziergd.com/. I have highlighted the beginning of the relevant
section on page 5/6 of the PDF: http://tinyurl.com/grenadalegalopinion.
These rules have been reproduced in a number of
publications, including a book entitled "Company Law and Precedents"
published in 1912 by Arthur
Stiebel, and it is
available online from the Hathi Trust
website. Here's a link to the beginning of Rule
150: http://hdl.handle.net/2027/uc2.ark:/13960/t2n58pc3n?urlappend=%3Bseq=1691. As you'll see, it refers to dividends, so
I think that this might be what you
are looking for!

It’s been a week of finding the unfindable.
One of our advocates has asked whether I can source a copy of
the Companies Rules of 1909 of the States of Grenada and the West Indies Islands
( I may not have the title 100% correct). He’s looking for section 150 in
particular which deals with dividends paid out when companies are wound up. I
did an Internet search but drew a blank. WorldLII searches also drew a blank. I
suspect that it’s not easily accessible because of the year and is perhaps not
something one would find in the public domain.
If someone can suggest where I could look for this character,
or direct me to an institution which might have it, I’d be most grateful. If
someone on Int-Law has a copy and is prepared to send me section 150 via e-mail,
that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, help,
Have a good weekend all.
